I believe in the Project Hero mission! Currently there are an average of 20 suicides per day among PTSD sufferers in the United States. More than 20 percent of active and retired military have some form of PTSD.
Project Hero is raising awareness of the national PTSD mental health crisis and making a difference in the lives of thousands of Veterans and First Responders, as well as their families and communities. Project Hero has helped more than 10,000 Veterans and First Responders through cycling-based programs since 2008. Project Hero participants record decreases in use of prescription drugs, greater injury recovery rates, improved sleep habits and overall improvement in daily life functions.
I will be riding alongside many of these brave veterans that suffer from PTSD in the Great Lakes Challenge starting on August 16. This multi-day therapeutic journey utilizes cycling as the primary tool for rehabilitation, recovery, and resilience. While covering hundreds of miles, this incredible event brings together wounded veterans, active duty military, first responders, and the general public for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience perseverance, strength, and courage.
Will you please join me in donating to this life changing event by July 29, 2026?
Thank you very much for your support!
