Hi
I am Bill Dutter, a disabled Vietnam Era Veteran. My disability is due to multiple fractures, causing disk deterioration and arthritis in my lumbar spine, and arthritis in my hip and feet. My method to combat this is to KEEP ON PEDALING my bicycle.
I am also a follower of Christ, and as such feel lead to show His love for us all by helping to raise funds for disabled veterans and first responders by undertaking the biggest cycling challenge I have ever attempted.
Project Hero's California Challenge for 2026 is a 5 day bicycle course, covering 360 miles, and climbing over 16,000 feet, travelling from Santa Cruz to Port Hueneme. The event is from October 18th through the 24th, with the ride on the 19th to 23rd.
This multi-day therapeutic journey utilizes cycling as the primary tool for rehabilitation, recovery, and resilience. While covering hundreds of miles, this incredible event brings together wounded, ill and injured veterans, active duty miliary, first responders and the general public for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience perseverance, strength, and courage.
Please assist me in this endeavor by contributing and praying for the groups success.
In order to participate, I need to raise enough funds to cover the costs associated with attending by September 9. Will you please help me ride in this unique and life-changing event with a donation to my page?
Thank you very much for your support!
P. S. Please feel free to share this link if you know others you think might be interested in donating.
